Welcome to the Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds. You are expected to use good judgment and common sense when posting. Members here encompass all ages, and the contents in a post should be suitable as such. These classifieds are for people who have an interest in buying, selling, swapping used educational materials and Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com in general, if this is not your primary reason for joining, then we suggest you leave now because this may not be what you are looking for.

Your use of the classifieds hosted by Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds ("Classifieds", "We", "Service") indicates your acceptance of the Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds legal notice, privacy policy, those terms found on the registration page and in this Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") as well as the Terms and Conditions on Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com. The AUP can be modified at any time, and your continued use of the Classifieds indicates your acceptance of the modified terms that can be found on this page.

Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service with or without notice to you ("User", "member", "buyer", "seller", "customer", "poster"). You agree that Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any modification or discontinuation of the Service. Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds makes no warranty that the service will meet user's requirements, that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free; nor does Homeschooling On a Shoestring.com Classifieds make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from the use of the Service or as to the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Service, or that defects in the Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds Service or software will be corrected. Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com is not responsible for errors made by the customer in submitting advertising. If there is an error in any advertisement, it is the responsibility of the user to go online and modify the ad. Customers who detect other errors in any advertisement or content should contact the administrator immediately via email. Under no circumstances will Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com be liable for any goods, services, resources, loss profits, punitive or consequential damages, or content available through such third party dealings or communications, or for any harm related thereto. Please review carefully that third party's policies and practices and make sure you are comfortable with them before you engage in any transaction. Complaints, concerns or questions relating to materials provided by third parties should be forwarded directly to the third party.

Please remember that the nature of the internet makes it is impossible for us to vouch for the validity of any content posted. As such, we are not responsible for any advertisements posted nor the consequences of following any advice offered within Classified posts. The views expressed in the posts you will find in these classifieds belong solely to their respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com, its affiliates, staff, and/or sponsors. If you find any posts in these Classifieds to be offensive or objectionable, please contact us via email at homeschoolingonashoestring_usedbooks-owner AT yahoogroups dot com for the Classifieds in question. If we determine that removal of a post or posts is necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to do so in a timely manner. Abuses to this system will not be tolerated.

By using these Classifieds, you agree to the following:
- We reserve the right to reject any ad, or block access to anyone, at any time. We are under no obligation to review any messages, information or content posted on the Site by you and assume no responsibility or liability relating to any such content.

Notwithstanding the above, we generally monitor the Postings on the Site and may decline to accept and/or remove any Postings that contain:
- Any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, profane, invasive of another's privacy, pornographic, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, including, but not limited to, any material which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law.
- Bulk E-mail
- Messages that promote other online classifieds
- Duplicate ads
- Advertisements or solicitations of any kind
- Messages posted by users impersonating others
- Personal information such as messages which state account numbers, or employer references
- Messages by non-spokesperson employees purporting to speak on our behalf or containing confidential information or expressing opinions concerning us
- Messages that offer unauthorized downloads of any copyrighted or private information
- Chain letters of any kind
- Posting any material that is knowingly false, misleading, or inaccurate.
- Messages containing clothing, knick-knacks, adult education, non-educational items etc are not allowed. The only exceptions are parenting books and childrens fiction books.
- Posting messages stating you will take cash - you will be banned immediately.
- Price quoted will assume USD (United States dollars) unless seller notes that price in seller's ad is Canadian dollars.

You must have a valid email in your profile, this is the only means of contact we have. Having an invalid/non-working email address will result in the suspension/deletion of your account.

You will respect other people's right to personal privacy and will not post any other person's identifying information (including their names, contact information, and any other relevant information) within the Classifieds but your own.

You will not use profanity in our classifieds, and will neither post with language or content that is obscene, sexually oriented, sexually suggestive, or violate Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds community standards nor link to sites that contain such content. Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds staff shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

By posting, you hereby grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive license to the posted content for use online, in print, databases, CD, and any and all other media, whether now known or hereafter created.

Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. One or all of the accounts will be removed.

You will not impersonate any person or entity, forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any posting, nor collect or store personal data about other users. Do not cloak any URL.

Spamming, flooding, and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the classifieds email and reply system to spam other members.

You will not use these classifieds to violate any laws nor to discuss illegal activities.

Do not post ads that violate International, Federal, State, or Local laws and regulations which include, but are not limited to, anything that violates a copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or is bound by NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).

You will not use these Classifieds for the purposes of sharing or distributing viruses, licenses, registration information, software keys, "cracks," or other information designed to do harm to or allow unlawful access to any computer hardware, software, networks, or any other systems.

You will not attempt to access any protected sections of the sites or Classifieds, nor make use of any hacks, cracks, bug exploits, etc. to bypass or modify the features of the classified software.

You will, if asked by a representative of the Classifieds, cease posting any content, and/or links to content, deemed offensive, objectionable, or in poor taste by the staff of the Classifieds. At all times, you remain solely responsible for anything found within your posts and agree to indemnify and hold Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, co-branders or other partners, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of any material you submit, post to or transmit through the Classifieds, your use of the Classifieds, your connection to the Classifieds, your violation of the AUP, legal notice, or privacy policy, or your violation of the rights of another.

Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds does not and cannot review all of the content of every message posted and do not accept responsibility for the contents of any messages. We expressly disclaim any legal responsibility for the content, completeness or accuracy of the information contained in this site or accessible by hyperlinks through this site. Responders to classifieds are advised that they should take care to ensure for themselves the suitability of goods and services advertised before making payment. Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com has no control over who views and responds to your ad. We reserve the right to delete any message and/or restrict posting rights in our Classifieds for any reason whatsoever. Should you continue to post messages that violate the rules of the Classifieds, your account may be terminated, any ads associated with the your account may be immediately deleted, your access to the Classifieds may be banned, and your service provider(s) may be contacted about your behavior. Furthermore, we expressly reserve our rights under the law to take any other actions we deem necessary. Ads listed here are intended as a service and not as an endorsement. We claim no responsibility for transactions derived herein. Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com Classifieds' intent is for private parties who are an individual selling his/her personal item(s), or buying an item for personal use. Ads for businesses, commercial ventures or any reason other than personal use are not permitted at this time. We encourage our readers to notify us if they find a business advertising as a private party. We reserve the right to delete any private party ad we consider to be commercial in nature.

We at these Classifieds also reserve the right to disclose personal information when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to the edicts of the law or comply with a legal process served on Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com, protect and defend the rights or property of Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com's network of sites, or visitors to Homeschooling on a Shoestring.com, identify persons who may be violating the law, the legal notice, or the rights of third parties, and cooperate with the investigations of purported unlawful activities.

We reserve the right to change or modify this agreement from time-to-time.
